PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Menard Creek near Rye.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins as low
  lying areas along the creek are inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 18.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tonight to a crest of 24.1 feet Sunday morning. It will
    then fall below flood stage Monday evening.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    24.1 feet on 03/06/1992.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Evadale.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Minor flooding expected with the boat
  ramps at Evadale possibly becoming inaccessible. Flooding can be
  expected in the low-lying areas of the Lakeview community in
  Orange County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 17.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 17.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 17.3 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
    morning to 16.8 feet early Monday morning. It will rise above
    flood stage early Monday afternoon to 17.1 feet early
    Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall again but remain above
    flood stage.

  - At 7:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 24.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this evening to a crest of 25.6 feet early Sunday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday
    morning.
