This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected across South
Central Texas this afternoon and evening. A few storms could
become severe, producing large hail and damaging winds gusts. In
addition, some pockets of heavy rainfall are possible, which could
lead to flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Additional showers and storms are possible on Saturday. Some
pockets of heavier rainfall could occur Saturday, leading to flash
flooding. The wet and unstable weather pattern continues into next
week, thus the potential for localized flooding may continue.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to relay any reports of severe weather and
flooding to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Hays County in south central Texas...
  Southern Travis County in south central Texas...
  Northeastern Comal County in south central Texas...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 335 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
  area. An upgrade to a Flash Flood Warning may be necessary for
  portions of the advisory area soon.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Austin, San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, Dripping Springs, Wimberley,
  Tanglewood Forest, Austin Bergstrom Int Airport, Canyon Lake Dam,
  Canyon Lake, Lakeway, Bee Cave, West Lake Hills, The Hills,
  Woodcreek, Rollingwood, Uhland, Mustang Ridge, Niederwald and Bear
  Creek.

BLANCO AND NORTH CENTRAL COMAL COUNTIES UNTIL 415 PM CDT...

At 313 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Blanco, moving east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Blanco, Woodcreek, Bear Creek, Twin
Sisters, Fischer, Henly, Payton, Driftwood, Mount Gainor and Hays
City.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
south central Texas.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of south central Texas,
  including the following areas, Bandera, Bastrop, Bexar,
  Blanco, Caldwell, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Hays,
  Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Medina, Real, Travis, Uvalde, and Val
  Verde.

* Until midnight CDT tonight

* A large complex of showers and storms today and this evening
  will bring 2-3 inches of rain across a large area of the region.
  Some isolated locations may receive up to 5 inches of rain and
  this could lead to flash flooding especially over more saturated
  soils.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
