This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for Fayette, Gonzales, Karnes,
DeWitt, and Lavaca Counties through 9 AM this morning. Visibility
is reduced to 1/4 mile less in areas of dense fog across this
region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

An early season round of hot temperatures is expected over the
weekend and into next week. Those spending extended time outdoors
and not acclimated to the heat could be susceptible to heat
related illness if not taking proper heat precautions, such as
drinking plenty of water and taking frequent breaks out of the sun
and heat.

Otherwise, no hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...OZONE ACTION DAY...

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued
an Ozone Action Day for the San Antonio area for Saturday, May 18,
2024.

Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing
high levels of ozone air pollution in the San Antonio area on
Saturday.

You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking
or riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive
through lanes, conserving energy, and keeping your vehicle
properly tuned.

If required, the next Ozone Action Day will be issued by 3 PM
on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
