...Hot Temperatures To Continue Today...

A strong upper level ridge of high pressure will bring hot
temperatures to the region today. High temperatures today will be
in the middle to upper 90`s. Factoring in the humidity will
produce heat index values (make it feel like) between 100 and 110
degrees. A Heat Advisory may be required for parts of Southeast
Texas later today. A weak upper level disturbance could bring a
chance for some late afternoon showers and thunderstorms and
perhaps some rain cooled air to anyone lucky enough to receive
rain.

Person with outdoor activities planned are urged to drink plenty
of water, wear light weight and light colored clothing and take
frequent breaks from the heat. Young children and pets should
never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
