...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Brazoria, Galveston and Harris.
* WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 901 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 2 and 5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
League City, Texas City, southern Friendswood, Alvin,
Dickinson, La Marque, Santa Fe, Webster, Hitchcock, Kemah,
Hillcrest, Liverpool, Bacliff, San Leon and Chocolate Bayou.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Pearland, western League City, southeastern Missouri City,
Matagorda, Friendswood, Alvin, northwestern Angleton, Bay
City, Manvel, West Columbia, Sweeny, South Texas Nuclear
Plant, Fresno, Arcola, Iowa Colony, Holiday Lakes,
northwestern Bailey`s Prairie, Bonney, Thompsons and
northwestern Wild Peach Village.
