This hazardous weather outlook is for South Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Heat Advisory in effect this afternoon for the southern Coastal
Bend. The heat index values will generally be between 110 and 114
degrees across inland and coastal Nueces and Kleberg counties.

Afternoon heat index values will range between 105 and 109
degrees across the remainder of South Texas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Afternoon heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees will occur
across the coastal plains of South Texas and the western Brush
Country on Tuesday, and across portions of the region through the
end of the week.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the Victoria
Crossroads Tuesday through Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms will be
possible over the coastal plains on Sunday. Severe thunderstorms are
not expected at this time.

...HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 105 AND 109 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED TODAY...

The combination of warm temperatures and high dewpoints will
produce heat indices between 105 and 109 degrees today.  Residents
with outdoor activities planned are urged to drink plenty of water,
wear light weight and light colored clothing and take frequent breaks
from the heat. Young children and pets should never be left
unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially
true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach
lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
