This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the western two thirds of
Utah and southwest Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Hot temperatures, with extreme heat concerns, can be expected
across southern Utah today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Hot temperatures are anticipated across the region through
the period, with a continuation of extreme heat concerns. With
readings expected to run up to 10 to 15 degrees above normal,
near record to record high temperatures are anticipated.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed. Please relay any information
about observed severe weather to the NWS while following all
local, state, and CDC guidelines.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 105
  degrees possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northern and southern Utah.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat will significantly increase the
  potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those
  working or participating in outdoor activities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This will be a prolonged heat event, and
  there is potential for above normal temperatures to extend
  well into late next week and beyond.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-
conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives
and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
