This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Utah...
northern Utah...southern Utah...southwest Utah and southwest
Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Very hot conditions will continue through tonight across much of
the region.

Critical fire weather conditions will continue across much of Utah
this afternoon and evening due to the combination of widely
scattered thunderstorms, gusty winds and low relative humidity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Very hot conditions will continue across southern Utah through
Saturday across northern Utah, and through Sunday across southern
Utah.

High-based thunderstorms will bring the threat of lightning,
gusty and erratic winds and increased fire weather danger to much
of the state Saturday. Gusty winds and low humidity over the
weekend and through at least Tuesday will further enhance the
fire weather threat.

Spotter activation may be needed. Please relay any information
about observed severe weather to the NWS while following all
local, state, and CDC guidelines.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM MDT
SATURDAY FOR SCATTERED DRY THUNDERSTORMS AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS
FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 495...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 492 Central Utah West Desert
  and Fire Weather Zone 495 Color Country West Desert.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered dry thunderstorms are
  expected to develop Friday afternoon and evening and redevelop
  Saturday afternoon and evening.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty and erratic winds are possible near any
  near any showers or thunderstorms.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any
  new fire starts could spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of
lightning, dry fuel conditions and gusty microburst winds as well
as low humidity will create favorable conditions for new fire
starts and extreme fire behavior.
