This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Utah...
northern Utah...southern Utah...southwest Utah and southwest
Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No widespread hazardous weather expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Critical fire weather conditions will return in south-central
Utah on Friday, and will become more widespread on Saturday as
winds increase in very dry conditions ahead of the next
approaching storm system.

Patchy areas of blowing dust are expected Saturday across portions
of southwest, west-central and south-central Utah as wind gusts up
to 40 mph interact with very dry antecedent conditions.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms Friday near the Idaho border
will become more widely scattered across northern Utah on Saturday
and will be capable of producing gusty winds.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed. Please relay any information
about observed severe weather to the NWS while following all
local, state, and CDC guidelines.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM FRIDAY TO 9 PM MDT
SATURDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE
498...

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red
Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 11 AM Friday to 9 PM MDT Saturday.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 498 Grand Staircase.

* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop could spread rapidly. Outdoor
  burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
