This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North
Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Low relative humidity values and southwesterly winds will continue
to result in elevated fire danger this afternoon and evening. See
Red Flag Warnings and the Fire Danger Statement that are in
effect into early this evening.

Strong gusty winds can be expected this afternoon into tonight,
especially some of the higher elevations of the mountains. See
the Wind Advisory that is in effect for parts of the Southern
Appalachians.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will move in tonight, and there
is a low threat of a few strong to severe storms, primarily over
and near our Plateau counties. Damaging winds are the primary
severe storm threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
