...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...
...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...

Low relative humidity values can be expected this afternoon, with
values in the lower to mid 20s over most areas of southwest
Virginia. West to southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph with some higher
gusts are also occurring this afternoon. These conditions will
lead to increased fire danger this afternoon into early evening.

Relative humidity values will drop into the 30 to 35 percent
range over much of southwest Virginia Saturday afternoon. In
addition, winds will become westerly around 10 to 20 mph in most
locations with gusts of 20 to 30 mph common. These conditions will
again lead to increased fire danger.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you may burn outdoors today and again Saturday.
