This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina, south central Virginia, southwest
Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Fog may reduce visibility at times. Greatest impacts will be from
along the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Fancy Gap area of Interstate
77...and for the higher elevations where the cloud base intersects
the ground resulting in poor visibility.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Hazardous weather is not expected Saturday through Tuesday. A wintry
mix is possible late Wednesday into Thursday...temperatures near
freezing.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...Dense fog at times mainly in the mountains...

Watch for areas of dense fog tonight especially along the higher
ridges, and including Interstate 77, the Blue Ridge Parkway and
the Alleghany Highlands. Some visibilities will be as low as a few
hundred feet. Patchy drizzle and light rain overnight will also
add to the hazardous driving conditions.

If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights and leave
plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
