...Light Snow and Freezing Drizzle Expected to Linger...

.Low pressure along the North Carolina Coast will move away from
the area overnight. Cold high pressure covering the Ohio the
northern Mid-Atlantic region will linger. The steady, heavier snow
will gradually diminish, but periods of light snow or freezing
drizzle will continue overnight with some light additional
accumulations. The heaviest lingering precipitation overnight will
be across southside Virginia.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow has ended, however, periods of light snow or
  freezing drizzle will continue...possibly mixed with sleet.
  Additional snow accumulation of an inch or two. Ice
  accumulations of a light glaze.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest and west central
  Virginia and north central North Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to the heavy snow which has already
  fallen, it is unwise to travel. Untreated roads will be
  extremely hazardous. Even for treated roads, there is a high
  potential for black ice and potential for any water to re-freeze
  on the highway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
