EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following
  counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin
  and Virginia, including the following counties, Botetourt,
  Franklin, Henry, Patrick, Roanoke and Rockbridge.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Slow moving thunderstorms are expected to re-develop during
    the peak heating part of the day. Rainfall rates of 2 to 4
    inches in an hour are possible, and this may lead to flash
    flooding if a storm lingers over an area for even a short
    amount of time.

evening with damaging winds as the primary threat. In addition, a
marginal risk of excessive rainfall exists for this afternoon and
evening that could lead to localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

A slight risk of excessive rainfall exists on Tuesday that could
lead to localized flooding.
