This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern West
Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western
Maryland.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 AM to 7 PM for
portions of the area near and west of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Freezing rain is primarily expected above 1000 feet elevation.

A Flood Watch is in effect for Augusta County beginning this
evening. Elsewhere, isolated instances of flooding are possible
due to heavy rain and melted snow.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A Flood Watch is in effect for Augusta County through Sunday
afternoon. Elsewhere, isolated instances of flooding are possible
due to heavy rain and melted snow. Flooding may get into the
mainstem rivers Sunday through Monday night.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for much of the area Sunday
afternoon and evening. Gusty winds may linger into Monday.

There is an enhanced winter storm threat Wednesday night through
Thursday night. There is an increased potential for significant
travel impacts and closures, if this threat materializes.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING
TO 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations will
  average one to two tenths of an inch in the higher elevations.
  Snow and sleet accumulations less than one inch are possible in
  portions of north central and western Maryland.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and western Maryland, central,
  northwest, and western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
  conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation may start as a brief period of
  snow and/or sleet across north central and Maryland and portions
  of the eastern panhandle of West Virginia this morning.
  Precipitation will change over to freezing rain by afternoon.
  Further south, precipitation is expected to start as freezing rain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
