The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Loudoun County in northern Virginia...
  Southwestern Fairfax County in northern Virginia...
  Central Fauquier County in northern Virginia...
  The City of Manassas Park in northern Virginia...
  Western Prince William County in northern Virginia...
  The City of Manassas in northern Virginia...

* Until 1100 AM EDT.

* At 605 AM EDT, stream gauges continued to indicate flooding was
  ongoing, including but not limited to locations along Bull Run,
  Broad Run, and Cedar Run.

* The stream gauge at Manassas Park along Bull Run indicated
  flooding was ongoing with floodwaters expected to reach backyards
  along Lake Drive in Manassas along with much of the Bull Run trail
  system. Water is also expected to flood backyards in the Yorkshire

* At 0500 AM EDT, the stream gauge at Bristow along Broad Run was at
  10.60 feet and falling. At this level, Piper Lane floods near
  Manassas Airport and trails near the stream flood. Water should
  recede through the morning hours.

* The stream gauges at Catlett and Aden along Cedar Run were also
  indicating that flooding was ongoing along the lowlands of the
  stream, potentially including Fleetwood Road.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Bull Run, Catlett, Bristow, Manassas, Aden, and Manassas Park.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Flood Warnings remain in effect for portions of the area today.
Please refer to the latest warnings for further details.

A Gale Warning is in effect for the waters through tonight.

Strong northwest winds may gust around 50 mph resulting in
isolated wind damage this afternoon and evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

The Gale Warning may need to be extended for portions of the
waters into Saturday morning.


Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
