This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of
Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight and Tonight

A Gale Warning is in effect for portions of the Chesapeake Bay and
the lower Tidal Potomac until 2pm today.

Flood Warnings are in effect for portions of central and southern
Maryland and Prince William County in Virginia.

A Freeze Warning begins at 3am on Saturday for northwestern
Harford County. Frost Advisories are also in effect for Prince
William and Fairfax Counties in Virginia, including the City of
Fairfax, as well as Baltimore County and the City of Baltimore.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A Freeze Warning is in effect until 9 AM on Saturday for
northwestern Harford County. Frost Advisories are also in effect
for Prince William and Fairfax Counties in Virginia, including the
City of Fairfax, as well as Baltimore County and the City of
Baltimore.

There is the potential for isolated wind damage due to northwesterly
wind gusts of up to 50 mph late Sunday into Monday behind a
strong cold front. Gale Warnings will likely be needed over the
waters during this time.

Freezing temperatures are likely over much of the area Monday
night into Tuesday morning.

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 33 will result in frost
  formation.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern Maryland and central,
  northern, northwest and western Virginia.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 9 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if
  left uncovered.
