...POTENTIAL WINTER COMMUTING HAZARD FOR THE BALTIMORE MD /
WASHINGTON DC METRO AREAS THIS EVENING...

There is a potential for hazardous commuting conditions for this
evening`s commute. Scattered snow showers are POSSIBLE (a 50
percent chance) this evening across the Baltimore MD / Washington
DC metro areas with up to a half inch accumulation on area roads
and walkways.

If this threat does materialize during the evening rush-hour,
many roads could quickly turn icy. This could lead to dangerous
traveling conditions, multiple accidents, and extensive delays.

If commuting this evening, be aware of the POSSIBILITY of
significant travel disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra
travel time, and consider using public transportation and telework
options.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow showers could bring a coating of snow to area roadways this
afternoon and evening. A Potential Winter Commuting Hazard
statement is in effect for the evening commute.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

There is a slight winter storm threat Sunday. If this threat
materializes, travel disruptions are possible.

Dangerously cold wind chills are likely at times Sunday night
through Wednesday morning. Now is the time to take precautionary
measures to ensure you, pets, livestock, and property are ready
for the cold.
