This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for Anne Arundel, southern
Baltimore, southeast Harford, St. Mary`s counties in Maryland and
for the City of Alexandria and Washington DC through mid
afternoon.

A Gale warning is in effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Gusty winds could result in isolated wind damage in the wake of a
front at times Friday into Saturday.

A Gale Warning is in effect through Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today.

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 PM
EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level
  expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

* WHERE...Shoreline in the City of Alexandria and Arlington
  County.

* WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 5 PM EDT this afternoon,
  especially around the time of high tide.

* IMPACTS...Water is expected to approach buildings near King
  Street and Union Street..

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet above
  normal. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 11:48 AM and
  12:34 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.
