...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Maryland, including the following
  areas, Dorchester and Wicomico and Virginia, including the
  following areas, Amelia, Brunswick, Caroline, Charles City,
  Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Eastern Chesterfield (Including Col.
  Heights), Eastern Essex, Eastern Hanover, Eastern Henrico, Eastern
  King William, Eastern King and Queen, Eastern Louisa, Fluvanna,
  Goochland, Greensville, Lancaster, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, New
  Kent, Northumberland, Nottoway, Powhatan, Prince Edward, Prince
  George (including Hopewell and Petersburg), Richmond, Sussex,
  Western Chesterfield, Western Essex, Western Hanover, Western
  Henrico (Including the City of Richmond), Western King William,
  Western King and Queen, Western Louisa and Westmoreland.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
  flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central King and Queen County in east central Virginia...
  Northwestern New Kent County in east central Virginia...
  Southeastern King William County in east central Virginia...

* Until 1030 PM EDT.

* At 1005 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Aylett to near Manquin to Tunstall, moving east
  at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  King William, Talleysville, Tunstall, Stevensville, Walkerton, Rose
  Garden, Lanesville, Crouch, Henley Fork, Palls, Bruington, Cohoke,
  and Cooke.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Damaging wind and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring
with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of
nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are
close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Virginia, east central Virginia, eastern Virginia, north central
Virginia, south central Virginia and southeast Virginia.

   Flood Watch.

Showers and storms are likely late afternoon into the overnight.
Heavy rainfall and gusty winds will accompany the stronger storms.
Localized flash flooding is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Daily scattered showers and storms will remain possible each day
through midweek. Additional rounds of locally heavy rain will also
make additional instances of flash flooding possible.
