The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast North Carolina and Virginia, including
  the following areas, in northeast North Carolina, Bertie,
  Camden, Chowan, Eastern Currituck, Gates, Hertford,
  Northampton, Pasquotank, Perquimans, and Western Currituck. In
  Virginia, Chesapeake, Gloucester, Greensville,
  Hampton/Poquoson, Isle of Wight, James City, Mathews, Newport
  News, Norfolk/Portsmouth, Southampton, Suffolk, Surry, Sussex,
  Virginia Beach, and York.

* Through Saturday afternoon

* Rain...falling moderate to heavy at times from tonight into
  Saturday afternoon. Storm total rainfall is expected to range
  from 1.0 to 2.0 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.

* Runoff from this rainfall could cause flooding along streams,
  creeks and eventually rivers, as well as urban areas.


A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
