...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast North Carolina,
central Virginia, east central Virginia, eastern Virginia, north
central Virginia and southeast Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Flood Watch.

Additionally, Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected across
the outlook area through early this evening. A few storms could be
strong to severe with an isolated, weak tornado possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday afternoon. The
main threats will be gusty winds, hail, and locally heavy rainfall.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast North Carolina, including the
  following areas, Camden, Eastern Currituck, Pasquotank and Western
  Currituck and Virginia, including the following areas, Caroline,
  Charles City, Chesapeake, Eastern Essex, Eastern Hanover, Eastern
  King William, Eastern King and Queen, Gloucester,
  Hampton/Poquoson, Isle of Wight, James City, Lancaster, Mathews,
  Middlesex, New Kent, Newport News, Norfolk/Portsmouth,
  Northumberland, Richmond, Suffolk, Surry, Virginia Beach, Western
  Essex, Western King William, Western King and Queen, Westmoreland
  and York.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A period of showers with a few embedded thunderstorms will
    lead to additional rainfall totals up to 1.5" with locally
    higher amounts possible in heavier banding of showers and
    thunderstorms through late tonight.
