...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
8 PM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to
  10 inches at elevations above 1000 feet and 2 to 6 inches of
  snow expected below 1000 feet.

* WHERE...Essex County.

* WHEN...Rain will mix with, and change to, wet snow late this
  afternoon into this evening. Periods of heavy wet snow will
  continue tonight and Friday, with the heaviest accumulations at
  elevations above 1000 feet.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. Scattered power outages are
  possible due to the weight of heavy wet snow on trees and
  powerlines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Please allow extra time if travel is necessary.
