...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM SUNDAY TO 7 PM EST MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 7 PM Sunday to 7 PM EST Monday.

* LOCATIONS...The Champlain Valley and all of northern and central
  Vermont.

* WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* TIMING...Gusty southeast winds Sunday morning will shift to the
  west become strong Sunday evening and night, before slowly
  dissipating Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
  lines. Isolated to scattered power outages are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph or more are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 9 AM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations of up to
  one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected.
  Localized wind gusts up to 45 mph possible across the northern
  Adirondacks and Western Slopes of Vermont.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northwest and southern Vermont
  and northern New York.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM EST Sunday. The threat for
  localized gusty winds will be midday Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation will begin as a mix of snow
  and sleet after midnight tonight, before changing to mainly
  freezing rain early Sunday morning. As surface temperatures rise
  above freezing, plain rain is expected by mid-morning Sunday.
  Plan on slippery road conditions, especially Sunday morning.
  Isolated power outages are possible over the northern
  Adirondacks and Western Slopes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
