Additional rounds of rain are expected today. Snow melt combined
with falling rain will keep area rivers running high but are forecast
to remain within bankfull at this time. However, flooding of fields
and ponding of low-lying surfaces will be possible. Snow mixes in
with rain showers on Saturday, with minor accumulations possible
above 1500 feet elevation.

* WHAT...Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. The
  strongest winds are expected along the western slopes of the Green
  and Adirondack Mountains.

* WHERE...Portions of northern New York and central, northeast,
  northwest, and southern Vermont.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
