...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Vermont...
New Hampshire...

  Connecticut River Near Dalton affecting Coos, Grafton, Caledonia
  and Essex Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Water levels can rise and fall quickly in the vicinity of ice jams.
Those with interests along rivers and tributary streams should be
alert for rapidly fluctuating water levels in the vicinity of ice
jams. Forecast values represent ice-free flow.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River near Dalton.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:15 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 18.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:15 PM EDT Wednesday was 18.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late tonight and continue falling to 15.4 feet Saturday
    morning. However, additional rainfall and snowmelt late week
    could produce rises and additional flooding.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
