This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A band of heavy snow will exit the Arrowhead into Ontario this
evening. Visibility as low as one-quarter mile are possible along
the Gunflint Trail and between Grand Marais and Grand Portage. A
quick half inch to an inch of accumulation is possible through 8
PM.

Light snow will move into Pine County and northwest Wisconsin
early Tuesday morning. Expect reduced visibility along with snow
covered and slippery roads.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Snow, heavy at times, is expected through the day Tuesday over
northwest Wisconsin. Light snow is expected farther northwest
into central and northeast Minnesota. Travel will be difficult
Tuesday in northwest Wisconsin, including the morning and evening
commutes. Total snow accumulation in northwest Wisconsin by early
Wednesday morning of 2 to 10 inches are expected. Areas in
Minnesota will pick up a dusting up to 3 inches.

Another low pressure system could bring accumulating snow to the
Northland next Tuesday and Wednesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snow spotters are requested to report precipitation type, and
measurements of snow or ice accumulations to the National Weather
Service. Spotters and the public can also report precipitation
type with the free M-PING smartphone app.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TUESDAY TO MIDNIGHT
CST TUESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
  accumulations of 4 to 7 inches and ice accumulations of a
  light glaze. Locally higher amounts of 8 to 10 inches
  possible in Ashland and Iron counties.

* WHERE...Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Washburn and Sawyer Counties.
  This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the Bad
  River Reservation and the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation.

* WHEN...From 3 AM Tuesday to midnight CST Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
