...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THROUGH THURSDAY...

Very dry conditions, with relative humidity falling into the
15 to 25 percent range, will result in elevated fire potential
this afternoon and again on Thursday afternoon. The areas of
greatest concern are the sandy soil regions of northern and
central Wisconsin. Persistent dry weather has caused an increase
in fire activity in recent days.

Residents are urged to be careful with any activities that could
potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills,
smoking materials, chain saws, fireworks, and all-terrain
vehicles all have the potential to throw a spark and ignite a
fire. Avoid outdoor burning.

Visit the Wisconsin DNR website to view current burning restrictions.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

There is potential for frost over portions of north-central and
far northeast Wisconsin late tonight. A Frost Advisory has been
issued for these areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Wednesday

Very low relative humidity over northern Wisconsin may lead to
elevated potential for wildfires Thursday and Friday.

There will be a chance of thunderstorms Friday night into
Saturday, but it is too early to determine if severe weather will
occur.

If a widespread rainfall does not occur Friday night and Saturday,
mild and dry conditions may lead to worsening drought conditions,
which could impact agricultural interests.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed tonight.
