...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN FOREST AND SOUTHEASTERN VILAS COUNTIES...

At 1048 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Kentuck Lake
Campground, or 15 miles northeast of Eagle River, moving east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Public. Damage to trees and power lines has been reported.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Forest and southeastern Vilas Counties, including the
following locations... Luna-White Deer Campground, Franklin Lake
Campground, Popple River Headwaters Natural Area, Bastile Lake
Natural Area, Anvil Lake Campground, Alvin, Windsor Dam Campground
and Stevens Lake Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A round of thunderstorms is likely tonight. Some of the storms
north and west of the Fox Valley could be severe and produce
damaging winds and large hail. There is a marginal to slight risk
of severe thunderstorms. Torrential rainfall and flooding are also
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Monday

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday
evening. A more substantial round of storms is likely Wednesday
afternoon into Wednesday night. Any of the thunderstorms could be
severe and produce damaging winds and large hail. Torrential
rainfall is also possible, and may lead to flooding.

Humid conditions are also likely through Wednesday. The heat
index could exceed 90 across central and east-central Wisconsin
Wednesday afternoon. The combination of heat and humidity will
result in an elevated risk of heat related illness, especially for
individuals in poor health.
