...LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN TO BRING RISING RIVER LEVELS...

A strong early Spring storm will move from southwest Iowa into
central Wisconsin tonight, before reaching the northern tip of Lower
Michigan on Sunday. Several more rounds of rain showers are
expected, with total rainfall reaching three-quarters of an inch to
one and one-half inches. This amount of precipitation falling on
saturated grounds, will lead to runoff into area rivers and streams.

Portions of the Wolf and Oconto Rivers are already near or slightly
above minor flood stage. Portions of the Wisconsin, Menominee,
Embarrass and Peshtigo Rivers are already above bankfull and will
approach minor flood stage by early next week.

In addition to rising water levels, ponding on area roads, urban
areas and low-lying areas may also occur.

Residents who live near rivers or streams should closely monitor
water levels in the upcoming days. Be prepared to seek higher ground
if flooding becomes imminent.
