This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Wind chills of 15 below to 25 below zero are expected tonight,
mainly toward sunrise.

Lake-effect snow showers may impact locations along the Lake
Michigan shoreline, creating hazardous travel conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Sunday

Wind chills of 15 below to 25 below zero are possible early Monday

Hazardous travel conditions remain possible on Monday along the
Lake Michigan shoreline due to lake-effect snow showers.

A weather system is expected to bring accumulating snow to the
region Monday night through Wednesday morning. It appears a
widespread 4 to 6 inches of snowfall is expected, with locally
higher amounts possible. The higher snow amounts are forecast to
occur across the north Monday night into Tuesday morning and
across central and east-central Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon into
Tuesday night. A winter weather headline will be likely be needed
in subsequent forecasts with this system.

Several clipper system will bring the chance for additional
snowfall chances Thursday and Friday. However snowfall
accumulations should be rather light for much of the area.

A very cold airmass will settle in across the western Great Lakes
late in the week and into next weekend. Wind chills of 20 to 30
below will be possible Thursday and Friday night.


Spotters activation is not expected tonight.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the 10 below zero to 20
below zero range across north-central and parts of northeast
Wisconsin overnight. Wind chills will fall into the 15 below zero
to 25 below zero range, even though winds will be light.

Frostbite can occur in less than 30 minutes on exposed skin under
these conditions. Be sure to dress in loose fitting layers and
wear a hat and mittens or gloves.
