...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron,
  Sawyer and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of
  the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Red Cliff Band, the
  northwestern county of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad River
  Reservation and the St. Croix Band in Burnett County. Other
  locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and
  Madeline Island.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - While heavy rainfall has ended, flooding and flash flooding
    due to runoff from recent heavy rainfall is expected to
    persist through this evening and into tonight. Another round
    of moderate rainfall is expected to move into northwest
    Wisconsin later tonight into portions of Wednesday morning,
    which could exacerbate the ongoing flood concerns.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Heavy rain has fallen across much of northwest Wisconsin and along
parts of the North Shore. Flood advisories and flash flood
warnings are in effect through this evening. Additional rainfall
amounts up to one inch are expected for parts of northwest
Wisconsin.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible for parts of northwest
Wisconsin, mainly in Price county, until about 10 PM. Wind gusts
up to 60 mph are the main threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Strong northeast winds will increase the threat of rip currents
Wednesday for areas near the Twin Ports, including the beaches of
Duluth and Superior. A Beach Hazards Statement may be needed.

Additional thunderstorm chances are forecast through the end of
the week.

SKYWARN spotters are encouraged to report hail of any size, wind
damage, rainfall amounts, and flooding to the National Weather
Service.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL BURNETT, SOUTHEASTERN DOUGLAS AND NORTHERN
WASHBURN COUNTIES...

At 746 PM CDT Tuesday, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 4
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Trego, Wascott, Minong, Hertel, Saint Croix Band Sand Lake Area,
  Lampson, Minong Flowage, McKenzie Lake, Saint Croix Band Gaslyn
  area and Birch Island Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you
can do so safely. Flooding can be reported to the National Weather
Service at 1-800-685-8612.

  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or
  other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 741 PM CDT Tuesday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due
    to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 3 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Pine City, Spooner, Hayward, Hinckley, Sandstone, Rock Creek,
    Grantsburg, Round Lake, Trego, Trade Lake, Siren, Webster,
    Minong, Askov, Webb Lake Wisconsin, Brook Park, Henriette,
    Danbury, Saint Croix Band Pike Lake area and Saint Croix Band
    Sand Lake Area.
  - Flood safety information can be found at
