This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Wildfire smoke will linger overnight. Please refer to the latest
Air Quality Alerts for Minnesota and Wisconsin for more details.

Thunderstorms are expected this evening across northern Minnesota.
A few storms may be strong to severe capable of producing hail up
to one and a half inches and damaging winds. Heavy rainfall may
lead to ponding or localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect for northern MN through
11 PM Tuesday.

Additional thunderstorm chances are forecast through the end of
the week. A few strong to severe storms are possible again
Tuesday. Locally heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding
Tuesday.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Pine County and Wisconsin, Ashland,
  Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer and Washburn Counties.
  This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the St.
  Croix Band in Burnett County, the northwestern county of the Lac
  du Flambeau Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Lac Courte
  Oreilles Reservation and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena
  Lake counties. Other locations including the Apostle Islands
  National Lakeshore and Madeline Island.

* WHEN...From 1 PM CDT this afternoon through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A stationary front will bring heavy rainfall which may lead
    to rapid runoff and flash flooding this afternoon through
    Tuesday night. Heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
    expected with localized amounts up to 4 inches possible.
