This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Minnesota...central Wisconsin...
southwest Wisconsin and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered non-severe thunderstorms are expected tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A potent spring storm system impacts the region through Saturday
morning and will bring a variety of hazardous weather including
severe storms, heavy rainfall, wet snow, and strong winds.

A fast-moving line of severe storms is growing increasingly
likely south of Interstate 90 from early Friday afternoon and into
early Friday evening. These storms will be capable of producing
damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes.

Widespread rainfall occurs Thursday night through Friday night
with locally heavy rain possible. Rainfall and runoff could lead
to ponding of water, elevated rivers and some river flooding.

Accumulating snowfall is likely as the storm system exits the
area, the rain will change to snow. Amounts continue to look
light to moderate from 1 to 4 inches with higher amounts near
I90. There is great uncertainty in the snow amounts depending on
the time the rain changes to snow, so check back for forecast
updates.

Finally, strong and gusty winds are expected at times Today through
Saturday morning. Wind gusts over 45 mph will be possible
especially Friday afternoon and Friday night. The combination of
strong winds and falling snow could result in difficult travel
conditions in open areas.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed south of Interstate 90 Friday
afternoon and early Friday evening. Snowfall reports may be
needed Friday night into Saturday.

.EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COORDINATION...

A webinar is scheduled for 2pm this afternoon
