Lingering moisture from overnight rain combined with temperatures around freezing in a few places may result in a few slick or icy spots early this morning. The coldest temperatures are primarily above 800 feet elevation in the Catoctin and Blue Ridge Mountains, Bull Run Mountain, and other higher hills and ridges in the area. A High Wind Warning is in effect for much of the area through this evening, except across the central Virginia piedmont where Wind Advisories are in effect. Across the Blue Ridge Mountains, High Wind Warnings continue through the night. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Across the Blue Ridge Mountains, High Wind Warnings remain in effect through early Monday afternoon. Elsewhere, gusty winds may linger through Monday. There is an enhanced winter storm threat Wednesday night through Thursday night.
