...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO
1 PM EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, west winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts
  up to 50 mph. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind
  chills of 20 to 30 below zero.

* WHERE...Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, from 8 AM this morning to 8 PM EST
  this evening. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 8 PM this evening
  to 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The
  dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin
  in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur
  if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The coldest wind chills will be at elevations
  above 3500 feet between midnight tonight and 9 AM Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
