...Much higher flows along creeks and small streams will occur
this weekend into next week due to the expected near record high
temperatures...

Snowpack at the 8,000 to 10,000 foot elevation is ripe (water
laden), and will be melting quickly this weekend into next week. There
could also be showers and thunderstorms at times especially on
Saturday.

The greatest concern will be across western Wyoming where copious
amounts of snow remain in the headwaters of area creeks and rivers.
The Pacific Creek will rise to levels above action stage.

Remember, during active snowmelt runoff, mountain creeks flow the
highest during evening and overnight hours, through the early
morning. Do not attempt to cross a fast moving creek or stream at
these times as the power of water will easily carry you downstream.
