This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Western and Central Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Cold, well below normal temperatures will prevail across the state
today. Isolated light snow showers will be possible over portions of
western, central, and southern WY throughout the day. Up to an inch
of new snowfall is possible (40%) in central Sweetwater County this
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday through Thursday Morning...Morning lows Wednesday through
Thursday will be dangerously cold across much of the state. Locations
with fresh snowpack may see temperatures in the minus teens to minus
twenties. Cold Advisories have been issued for portions of the Green
River Basin, Jackson Hole, Star Valley, and the Tetons for Tuesday
night through Thursday morning. Cold Weather Advisories have been
issued for the Bighorn Basin and Cody Foothills for Wednesday night
into Thursday morning. These locations are forecast to see windchill
values of minus 25 to minus 35.

Thursday Afternoon through Saturday...The next weather maker arrives
by the end of the week bringing chances for accumulating snow to
parts of western/southern WY.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING
TO 10 AM MST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Low temperatures of 15 below to 25 below zero will combine
  with a light wind to create wind chill readings 25 below to 35
  below zero Wednesday and Thursday morning.

* WHERE...Jackson Hole, Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains, and Star
  Valley.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Outdoor recreationists should dress in layers
  and cover exposed skin. Daytime highs during the daylight hours
  Wednesday will only climb into the single digits.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
