today through tonight...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Western and Central Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Light to moderate snow across the west. Strong to high winds across
portions of central Wyoming, mainly in sections of southern Fremont
County and Natrona County. Please see the High Wind Warning and the
other winter weather highlights for additional details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday...Light snow continuing across the west.

Monday and Tuesday...Increasing snow across southern portions Sunday
night, spreading into central portions early Monday morning.
Moderate to heavy snow is possible in these areas through Monday
night. Light to moderate snow expected elsewhere. Unseasonably cold.

Wednesday...High temperatures 20 to 30 degrees below normal.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 18
  inches possible across the Wind River Basin; snow accumulations
  of 12 to 24 inches possible across Natrona County; snow
  accumulations of 25 to 35 inches across Casper Mountain.

* WHERE...Wind River Basin, Lander Foothills, Natrona County
  Lower Elevations and Casper Mountain.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Heavy
  snow could reduce visibilities at times and create slick
  driving conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow may melt during the day, especially on
  paved surfaces, resulting in accumulations less than forecasted
  totals.

...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO
11 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph
  expected. Gusts around 75 mph possible in the Green Mountains
  and Rattlesnake Range.

* WHERE...Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range and Natrona
  County Lower Elevations.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 11 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Elevated blowover risk for
  lightweight and high-profile vehicles, including campers and
  tractor trailers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest wind gusts are likely to
  occur along Wyoming Boulevard on the south side of Casper late
  Saturday afternoon and evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution if driving. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects
in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.
