...A strong cold front will bring snow and much colder
temperatures to Western and Central WY tonight through Monday...

This is a special weather statement from the National Weather
Service Office in Riverton.

* WHAT...Snow. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches across
  the lower elevations of Natrona County. 6 to 8 inches of snow
  is possible for Casper Mountain. 2 to 4 inches of snow expected
  for the Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range.

* WHERE...Natrona County lower elevations, Casper Mountain, and
  the Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range.

* WHEN...Snow will begin around Midnight for northern Natrona
  County including around Midwest. Snow will begin just before or
  around sunrise for the Casper area and Casper Mountain and will
  continue to move south early Monday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Where snow falls overnight and in higher
  elevations, roads may be slick and snow covered for the Monday
  morning commute. Around the Casper area, snow will fall mainly
  during daylight hours. Warm surface temperatures and higher sun
  angle will cause roads to be mainly wet.

effect for portions of northern Wyoming for tonight through

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Western and Central Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

A strong cold front will bring another round of snow and cold air
late in the afternoon into the evening. Snow is likely along and
east of the Continental Divide tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...Snow will continue across areas east of the Divide
through the day. The best accumulations will occur during the
morning and on grassy surfaces during the day. Much below normal
temperatures and gusty northerly winds will also occur.


Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions, according to standard operating procedures.
