This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western South
Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Elevated to near critical fire danger is expected today. Minimum
relative humidities will dip to the upper teens to 20s. Gusty
west to northwest winds will blow at 15-30 mph with gusts up to 50
mph over northwestern South Dakota, where a Wind Advisory is in
effect (see NPWUNR for details). The Grassland Fire Danger over
western South Dakota will be very high to extreme today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are expected
Monday where minimum relative humidities dip to the upper teens
to mid 20s over northeastern Wyoming and southwestern South
Dakota. A cold front will move through with north to northeast
winds at 15-25 mph behind the front and west to southwest winds at
15-30 mph ahead of the front.

A disturbance behind the cold front will bring increasing chances
for (mostly) snow Monday night into Tuesday. Several inches of
snow may occur for the higher Black Hills, but amounts on the
plains are uncertain given warm ground and marginal temperatures.

After colder days Tuesday and Wednesday, elevated fire weather
conditions will return Thursday along with the potential for
strong wind gusts in excess of 50 mph.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today.
