This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western South
Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

The grassland fire danger will be in the high to very high
category across the western and south central South Dakota plains
this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected Thursday and Friday
across parts of the area, especially parts of northeast Wyoming
to south central South Dakota, as breezy and dry conditions
develop during the late morning and afternoon. The grassland fire
danger will be high to very high across much of the plains. An
upper level system and cold front moving across the region late
Friday into the weekend will bring increasing chances for rain and
snow. At this time, some accumulating snow looks possible in many
areas, especially across the higher elevations of the forecast
area.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today.
