...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM
CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Autauga, Barbour, Bullock, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes,
  Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Pike, and Russell Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.

Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT TODAY FROM 11 AM TO 6 PM CST FOR
COUNTIES NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE HIGHWAY 80 CORRIDOR...

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 6 PM CST.

* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts near 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.

* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass, dry fuels, and
  windy conditions will result in critical fire weather
  conditions. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
