...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of north central Georgia...
  northeast Georgia...northwest Georgia and west central Georgia,
  including the following areas, in north central Georgia, Barrow,
  Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Fannin, Fayette,
  Forsyth, Gilmer, Gwinnett, Hall, Lumpkin, North Fulton, Pickens,
  South Fulton and Union. In northeast Georgia, Banks, Jackson,
  Towns and White. In northwest Georgia, Bartow, Carroll, Catoosa,
  Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Polk,
  Walker and Whitfield. In west central Georgia, Coweta and Heard.

* From Wednesday morning through Thursday evening

* Periods of heavy rainfall are expected across the area with the
  rain bands from the remnants of Tropical Storm Zeta as it tracks
  inland through the end of the week. Associated rainfall totals of
  2 to 3 inches are expected across north and northwest Georgia with
  locally higher amounts possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You
should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should
Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
