Scattered thunderstorms are expected across central Georgia this afternoon into tonight ahead of an advancing cold front. A couple of storms may become strong to severe, with damaging winds or hail being the main threats. Locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will also be possible with any stronger storms that develop. The best location for these strong storms will be along and south of a line from Columbus to Macon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday... Dry conditions Friday and Saturday with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms expected Sunday through Wednesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta.
