PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Isolated thunderstorms are possible through midnight tonight. Primary threats would be frequent lightning, brief gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall which could lead to ponding on roadways and localized flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday... Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected on Monday. Storms will become scattered to widespread Tuesday through Saturday. The threat for widespread severe weather remains low. Heat index values will range from 105 to 108 degrees on Monday and Tuesday across portions of central and eastern Georgia. A Heat Advisory is in effect again for Monday as a result.
