Severe Weather Possible for Parts of Central Plains

The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a risk of severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening for parts of the central Plains, from northeastern Colorado into western Nebraska and northwestern Kansas. Isolated large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats, although isolated tornadoes are possible, as well.

Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 39. Breezy, with a southwest wind 17 to 22 mph decreasing to 7 to 12 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Saturday Sunny, with a high near 72. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.
