Strong winter storm to move out of the Midwest and begin impacting Mid-Atlantic and Northeast

A strong winter storm will move out of the Midwest and into the Northeast and northern Mid-Atlantic region through Monday. An axis of moderate to heavy snow will continue to develop from the Lower Great Lakes through New York and into the Northeast. Cold air in place from central Pennsylvania into southern New England could set up a zone of sleet and freezing rain to the south of the heavy snow.
