Strong thunderstorms are possible from southwestern Texas to northern Maine on Saturday

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday from southwestern Texas to northern Maine. Primary threats will be damaging wind gusts with marginally severe hail also possible. In addition, moderate to heavy rainfall could produce flash flooding from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley.

Synopsis: WEAK TO MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW WILL CONTINUE TODAY...THEN DECREASE TONIGHT AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY APPROACHES. THE FRONT WILL CONTINUE CHANCES FOR SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY THROUGH SUNDAY. THE CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL DECREASE MONDAY AS THE FRONT DISSIPATES. A WEAK NORTHEAST FLOW MONDAY WILL BECOME SOUTHEAST BY MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY. A WEAK TO MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW CAN BE EXPECTED BY MID WEEK.
