...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY
THROUGH 245 PM MDT...

At 208 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 9 miles east of Bottomless Lakes State Park, or 21
miles east of Roswell, moving west at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Dexter, Hagerman, Elkins, Bottomless Lakes State Park, and
Greenfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
