Drier air continues to filter in from the northwest in the wake of
a cold front that has now pushed into southern AL and GA. Despite
the drier airmass, dewpoints are still in the mid to upper 60s
across the local forecast area. Winds have already become calm and
should remain this way until sunrise. Due to the heavy rain last
night, calm winds, and humid conditions, some patchy fog is
possible, especially along area rivers just before daybreak. NBM
probabilities for fog development are quite low, therefore this is
a low confidence forecast. Otherwise, expect a seasonal overnight
with lows dipping down into the low to mid 60s by tomorrow
morning.

High pressure at the surface will build into the region Tuesday
through Thursday, promoting mostly sunny and dry conditions each
day. However, we will remain under the influence of a broad
upper- trough over the Great Lakes which will keep our mean flow
out of the northwest -- reinforcing a slightly cooler and drier
air mass. As a result, highs will run slight below normal for the
end of May, especially Wednesday and Thursday when they will peak
into the upper 70s to lower 80s.

(Thursday night through Sunday)

Dry air continues through the end of the week as upper level
ridging moves into the Tennessee Valley from the west. On Friday
evening, an upper level shortwave allows low-medium rain chances
to return to the area and continue through the weekend. During the
long term period, highs are forecast to be in the upper 70s/80s
with overnight lows in the 50s/60s.

VFR conditions with light northwesterly winds are expected
through the TAF period. There is a low chance of some fog near
sunrise at both terminals, but confidence is low in this occurring
so therefore put that reduction in visibility in a TEMPO group.
