It was mostly sunny and warm across central and eastern Kansas
this afternoon with temperatures generally in the lower to middle
80s.

Most of mid-America will remain dry tonight and Friday. The
exceptions will be across portions of western Oklahoma and
southwest Kansas tonight where there will be a chance for showers
and thunderstorms. These chances will then expand north into
parts of central and northern Kansas and much of Nebraska on
Friday. Some of the storms could be strong to severe tonight and
Friday.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the 50s in Nebraska, Iowa
and northern Missouri with 60s across the rest of the heartland.
High temperatures on Friday will generally climb into the 80s and
90s with the highest readings in southwest Kansas.
